As usual this list is super late. I actually started writing this in 2020, and just didn't get around to posting or editing it until the end of 2021  2022. Oops... Well i gave it a shot at least. I also did not do a breakdown of each album since i just want to get this published; In short Actors continues to be amazing, and Trent can do no wrong when working with other musicians.  For 2021 - The pandemic continued, but I did manage to get out a bit more this year and there were a few concerts that I even made it out too as well. Here is a quick list, and Ill try to have the 2022 list out "soon."  Top albums of the year, in my opinion for 2021: Actors - Acts of Worship Halsey - If I Can't Have Love I Want Power Devin Townsend - The Puzzle / Snuggles Pertubator - Lustful Sacraments Wingtips - Cutting Room Floor Cutting Room Floor by WINGTIPS Chvrches - Screen Violence Kat Von D - Love Made Me Do It Fortitude - Gojira

2020 has come and gone. It went by fairly quickly for me, as I spent most days inside with Deyona. We caught up on television, movies, games, and music, which was a decent way to pass the days. Work also kept me fairly busy this year and I had an odd shift in the music that I listened to. I'm not sure if it was because of being inside for so long, or the lack of getting out to the Seattle goth clubs and other concert venues due to the ongoing pandemic. I drafted up this list months ago and just got around to finishing it, so here in no particular order are my best albums of 2020: Health - Disco Part 4 I love Health, and I was a bit hesitant for a collaboration album, but then when I listened to it I was blown away. Such a great mix of artists and styles. I know the NIN track is technically 2021, but it fits with the album and theme perfectly. DISCO4 :: PART I by HEALTH Gunship - Black Blood Red Kiss Single I love the whole New Retro genre, and Gunship continues to be my favorit...

As usual, this is suuuper late but I wanted to post my best of 2017 list even though we are into 2018 already. There was a good amount of releases from last year and I wanted to point out some highlights, so here they are! 1. Comaduster - Solace [Solace | Comaduster]( https://comaduster.bandcamp.com/album/solace-2 ) With each new Comaduster release I get worried that he can’t keep up the amazing quality of his music, but once again I am not disappointed in the least. In fact, this may possibly be my favorite release from him. 2. Chelsea Wolfe - Hiss Spun [Hiss Spun | CHELSEA WOLFE]( https://chelseawolfe.bandcamp.com/album/hiss-spun ) I was really impressed by the dark atmospheric sonic landscape that Chelsea Wolfe created for this album. Its such an interesting record, and I keep coming back to it over and over again. Enjoy the long droning guitar and powerful vocals and drums throughout it. 3. Add Violence - NIN [NIN]( https://www.nin.com ) I was really impressed by ...

The Roland JP-8000 I have come into possession of needed a new battery in it, as it was displaying the "Low Battery" message. So after finding a good video on YouTube on how to change the battery I noticed the pitchbend wheel and the ribbon controller stopped working. I was thinking I broke something until after stumbling around google I found a very helpful post from Andy T over at Roland Clan. After the battery is changed, sometimes you need to re-calibrate the pitch and ribbon controllers. Resetting the Mod / Pitch Bend Wheel and Ribbon Controller: Found at: http://forums.rolandclan.com/viewtopic.php?t=27112 After you replace the battery in the JP,you will need to perform the following steps to get the bender & ribbon controller to work. 1. Before turning the JP on, hold down the SYNC, 12db/24dB and TYPE buttons. 2. Keep holding the buttons down and turn on the JP. It will take awhile but eventually the screen will show 1 midi test . 3. Press 3, display wil...

When asked what my favorite NIN song or album is I am always torn between what my choice is. There are different eras of NIN that appeal to me deepening on my mood. I like to believe that the albums of the fist half of NIN's existence chronicle the life of Trent and his career as a musician. The general theme of NIN albums in relation to Reznor goes something like this: Pretty Hate Machine: - Young and somewhat naive he begins to realize that what has been force fed to him all his life is not all true or right. This is the awakening, the realization that everything has been just a lie.  Broken: Fed up with the label and the increasing demands of being a rockstar Broken chronicles the breaking point, the beginning of the end. Drugs, sex, agression, violence. Rebellion. Pure chaos. This record is short and to the point. Its a fuck you to everything that has gotten in the way so far. The Downward Spiral: Once you reach the apex of intensity...

Yup, this is late. Really late, but oh well I figured I would go through and list what I thought were the best albums I heard in late 2010 / 2011. This is will be mostly biased towards Industrial, EBM, Electronic, Metal, and Rock since that's mostly what I listen to. The Glitch Mob - Drink The Sea This is a fantastic electronic album. We need more music like this, really great beat, deep sound textures, great vocals on the tracks that use em, overall a really well done album. Even if you dont like electronica check this out, its truly something great. Aesthetic Perfection - All Beauty Destroyed The new AP album is a little darker, a little less dance oriented, but with great lyrics and a good heavy sound.  I didn't like it at first but the more I listened to it, the more it began to grow on me, and the more I felt something while listening to the lyrics. Binary Park - The Deviated I love Binary Park. Its glitchy, dark, EBM / Synthpop that is just so good. Wher...

I'v really been meaning to get back into writing music so I have decided that for February i am going to participate in February Album Writing Month ( fawm.org ). I tried this once before but never completed it. The idea is to write an album of 14+ songs all during the course of Feb. I'm not sure if I want to do another ambient album, or try and do an old school industrial album. Hrmm... time to get the studio back together and start practicing my guitar.

Lots of random stuff to update on. First, my old web host got bought out. WolfnetArchives.com may be down as things get resolved. Also I switched away from GoDaddy since they support SOPA. Went with namecheap.com since they seemed to be legit-ish. Second. Its cold. Its lonely. I don't want to go out. You know what that means. Winter Is Coming . Gonna try and write some music SOON. I need to. Im working on setting up the studio again. Moving shit around. Learning Abelton Live. 2012 Will be a year of new beginnings and hopefully rekindling old spirits.

Recently Iv been trying to listen to some new music each day since Industrial is pretty much dead at this point. Iv been delving into the Punk genre based on a drunken conversation with Sparky about a "Punk Rock Weekend" This brought me to the realization that I haven't listened to a lot of Punk music before. Therefore with my zune pass I began a journey: The Ramones: Greatest Hits - Fantastic, how did I miss this? For being the "first" american punk band they put on quite a show. The songs are quick and to the point, catchy chorus, great simple guitar work. Cut down and raw.  The Misfits - The Misfits - Im not as big a fan of the Misfits as the Ramones at this point, but they have good energy in their songs. Need to listen to more of them. Dead Kennedys - Mutiny on the Bay - This was a live album, and the Zune market didn't have more. Pretty good, really powerful songs that have alot more chaos in them than what else I have listened to.  So t...
